Collagen: An essential food supplement for your health.

Collagen is a natural substance present in many parts of our body. Its benefits have been known for thousands of years. It is responsible for the cohesion of cells between them but also for the proper functioning of joints, the elasticity of the skin, its regeneration but also for the health of bones and cartilage. Although it is essential to our body, it produces less and less over the years, thus showing the first signs of aging. It is very important to make up for this deficit with substitutes.

Factors such as coffee, tobacco, pollution or intensive sport can considerably increase this deficit in the body. It is therefore necessary to bring this protein, in any form, to the body, to reinforce the action of natural collagen at any age.

Present in many structures of the body: muscles, bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, skin and connective tissue, it plays a key role in the elasticity and regeneration of the skin. It represents 35% of the proteins in our body. It is clear that this protein is essential to your body.

TYPES OF COLLAGEN

  • Type I: It is present in tendons, bones and skin. It is the one that contributes to the resistance and elasticity of the skin. It also promotes healing.
  • Type II: This is the type of collagen found in cartilage. It plays an important role in joint pain.
  • Type III: It is present in muscles and blood vessel walls. It exists in different forms: bovine collagen, marine collagen and poultry collagen.

HOW TO MAKE A COLLAGEN CURE?
It is important to use collagen supplements for a certain period of time to obtain significant results. The recommended dose is 10 grams per day for at least 2 months. The ideal is to do a cure of 2 to 3 months and then take a break. This type of cure is to be done 1 to 2 times a year maximum.

Different forms exist. You can take collagen in the form of capsules, tablets, powder or even in liquid form. It all depends on your preference. Collagen can be taken in the morning but also morning and evening if the 10 grams intake is not reached in the morning.

TIPS
The easiest and most effective way to include collagen in your daily routine (especially if you don't know how to ingest the 10g) is to opt for powdered collagen and add it to the drink you drink in the morning. It can be your protein shaker, your smoothie, your fruit juice or your yogurt.
We advise you to combine your collagen with a dietary supplement containing turmeric if your goal is to strengthen your bones or reduce your joint pain; and with hyaluronic acid if you take it to improve the appearance of your skin and hair.
